Although only 10, Mbulelu had to take care of his three siblings, on his own. As part of a GardenAfrica initiative, he is now firmly under the wing of a group of elderly women who are teaching him how to care for and support his young family. 

The produce he receives in return for his help in the garden allows him to continue his education, dramatically decreasing the likelihood that he will contract HIV in later life.
