Ntombi lives in a densely populated part of Swaziland, where she says HIV and TB are prevalent. A strong woman, she tends the families 6 acres of maize while her husband works away in South African mines. The main source of income for the eight people in their household is the sale of excess maize produced by Ntombi. Ntombi already cultivates mango, paw paw and chilli, but is just starting to grow cabbage, lettuce, tomatoes and spinach in her new GardenAfrica project garden.
