Regina Gwala
Having lost all of her four children to AIDS and, although Regina is now a pensioner, she is looking after seven orphans on her own. She set up a rural women's support group and approached GardenAfrica to provide training. Regina remains a driving force in her community, helping others to help themselves.
She and her group are now working with child-headed households in the village, ensuring that they learn cultivation skills, eat a balanced diet, and remain in school.
