Sithembile lives with her husband and six children in Hhelehhele, Swaziland, which has the highest rate of HIV prevalence in the world. Not only does Sithembile know two child headed households close by, but sadly her own baby is also HIV positive. New to the area, the family are not producing any fruit or vegetables at home yet. They do have a vegetable garden containing maize, sweet potato, onions, tomatoes and spinach. However this garden is near the river Lomati which, at 1200 metres away, is too far to tend regularly. Once her GardenAfrica project garden is established near the homestead, Sithembile will be able to grow food more easily, and so can ensure that her baby's treatment is supported with a rounded diet.
