Involve your School in Our Work

Schools can be involved in helping Garden Africa in many ways and we can assist you in helping us:
  • GardenAfrica can give a presentation about our work to staff, children and parents.
  • Host a plant sale for GardenAfrica and at the same time, encourage children to grow plants at home in their garden or window box.
  • We can help you set up a pen pal scheme with a twinned school in southern Africa. Contact us to discuss this scheme (hosting your own fundraising to support the postage and other costs to your twinned school).
Contact us on info@gardenafrica.org.uk or ring us on 01435 882475 to discuss any of these opportunitites.

GardenAfrica Resources for Schools

Our resources provide ideas of how schools can raise awareness and funds for GardenAfrica. In return we hope that the pack benefits your school, providing information on how to set up your own school garden.

  • If you are interested in creating a school garden, or in understanding how a GardenAfrica school garden works, please download the GardenAfrica training manual (link through to the Training Manual page) by clicking here.
  • If you would like a hard copy of our Training Manual then please contact us and we can post you a copy.
